PENDING CONTRACT AWARD Job Title: Electronic Technician III Location: FRCASE NAS JRB New Orleans, LA Task Description: ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN III, BLS 17-3023, SCA 23183 Function: Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians. Required experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in avionics/electronics maintenance. Required education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Shall be a graduate from a two (2) year Electronics Technician resident course at an accredited institute. Compensation $44.64/hour Other Compensation Employees who elect to waive health insurance coverage may elect to receive an opt-out of $4.57 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. Employees accrue bi-weekly from the first week of service 5.54216 hours of PTO. KAI employees at NAS JRB New Orleans, LA will have 11 paid holidays.
