Description
Description Performs electronic calibrations and/or repairs on general purpose and/or specialized measuring and test equipment. Responsibility, Accountability and Decision Making – Normally receives detailed instructions on work; acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks; works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgement is required. Duties and Responsbilities: Technical - Performs calibrations in one or more of the following skill areas, as applicable: bio-med instrumentation electronic standards fiber optics LCR and impedance nuclear and radiation physics oscilloscopes particle counters photo/radiometric optometry RADAR RF/microwave power, frequency, and impedance sound pressure level spectrophotometry (including standards) spectrum and network analysis, time interval and frequency vibration video voltage & current waveform analysis, phase and distortion. Communication and Interaction - Communicates conversationally and in writing with coherent sentence structure to all employees; regularly interacts with other technicians and sometimes with CSRs and Purchasing; interaction normally involves exchange of factual information. Leadership - Acts on important opportunities as they arise, sometimes with assistance; willing to act with a minimum of planning; learning to translate ideas into actions; does not hesitate to pursue a sound, innovative idea; works quickly; enthusiastic about assignments; willing to learn; acts ethically and honestly, identifies others whose behavior is not in line with the organization's convictions; words and actions are consistent; strives to excel; follows instructions accurately and in a timely manner, taking responsibility for assigned tasks and completing them as expected.
