We are looking to add to our electronics team. The electronics technicians will be involved in the assembly, test, and repair of a broad range of electronics required for the development of downhole electronic tools.

Principal Duties Include:

  • Manufacture, service, test and calibrate Metrol products and assemblies.
  • Assemble and test R&D tools and assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate build and maintenance records.
  • Maintain the electronic workshop, stocking of consumables and promote good housekeeping.
  • Encourage and actively participate in continual process improvement.
  • Attend training courses as requested by the company.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal safety in the workplace observing all company health and safety requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Electronic knowledge down to component level.
  • Able to understand electronic schematics for PCBs.
  • Experience of repairing or assembling PCBs.
  • Able to debug circuits at resistor, capacitor, transistor and IC level.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.  Proficiency with standard computer applications.
  • Qualified to HNC level, or above.
  • Repair and test of analogue and digital electronics.
  • Experience with high temperature electronics.
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Basic software/programming skills.
