ELECTRONIC TEST ENGINEER

Mechan Controls is a well established machine guard safety design and manufacturing company in the Northwest of England, with a large growth in business we are looking for a Electronic Test Engineer to complement this.

You will be working with a small team of dedicated production engineers in a fast-paced but friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment, carrying out the following:

• Providing electronic test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including supporting the introduction of new test equipment.
• Testing and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies and circuit cards down to component level.
• Fault finding - experience preferred min. 1 year
• repairing circuit boards
• Generating test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports
• Promptly identifying remedial and corrective actions to allow Manufacturing to continue in line with order schedule, following production test failures.
• Supporting meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.
