Description
Responsibilities: MTSI provides wide-ranging and comprehensive electronic warfare support to the US Army, Air Force, and Navy. The intern will be introduced to electronic warfare principles, threats to air vehicles, infrared and radio frequency countermeasures, and general ground and flight test procedures. The intern’s responsibilities will include supporting projects involving general electronic warfare, aircraft survivability, countermeasures, and test and evaluation. This support will include assisting MTSI’s electronic warfare subject matter experts (SME), engineers, and data analysts in providing the government the full-range of both system integration laboratory (SIL) and open-air flight test services. These activities include working with MTSI’s managers, engineers, and analysts in flight test planning, coordination, execution, data collection and analysis, and reporting. The intern will assist in the preparation of test plans and other test-related documents, as well as contributing to government deliverables such as briefings and written reports. The intern will be introduced to electronic warfare data analysis tools including MATLAB, Excel, MtStat, and Python. The candidate may be required to travel to programmatic and technical meetings, Modeling & Simulation facilities, and open-air ranges for flight test. Qualifications: · Working towards a BS or MS in engineering, preferably aerospace or electrical. · Familiarity with basic MS Office products. · Must be highly motivated and have a desire and capability to learn very complex technical subjects and tasks. · Must exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities. · Must possess excellent communication skills and adapt well to a team-focused work environment. Desired Skills · Working knowledge of MATLAB or similar tools. · An existing US government Secret clearance. Clearance: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
