Description JOB SUMMARY Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Majority of duties performed, but not meant to be all inclusive or to prevent other duties from being assigned. Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel. Connects components lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, welding, thermocompression, or related bonding procedures and equipment. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (K.S.A’s) Must be able to work independently Good mechanical aptitude Able to read and interpret measuring equipment, tape measure/ruler/caliper Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Ability to safely operate power equipment with a shop atmosphere – hand drill, drill press and power saws as necessary Requirements High school diploma or GED
