Why You Will Love this Job: BASIC FUNCTION Under the general supervision of the Sr. Purchasing Manager and within the guidelines of Company policies, procedures, controls, and objectives; initiate contact with electronics and hardware suppliers to obtain products equal to Rehlko specifications at a competitive cost. Authority is in accordance with the Rehlko Global Procurement Policy Manual. Conduct sourcing events evaluating price, availability, lead time, and quality that will achieve a competitive advantage for Rehlko and its customers adhering to sourcing council policies. Award business to successful suppliers based on their financial soundness, technical proficiency, ethical integrity and ability to meet Rehlko’s needs for quality products and services at the least total cost. Create and maintain supplier source and price records in SAP, and resolve invoice discrepancies, if they arise. Provide supplier performance feedback. Provide assistance to the material planners, when needed, by following up on orders to ensure proper handling and on-time delivery. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Lead global sourcing initiatives from concept to completion. Activities include but are not limited to; project ideation, RFQ creation & execution, negotiating, analyzing data, conducting supplier reviews, conducting internal cross functional reviews to gain alignment & support, presenting sourcing council approach / recommendation, contract creation / execution, and overall project management. Coordinate cross functionally with internal teams and suppliers to source new and resource existing products under the guidelines of the global procurement policy manual. Serve as an escalation for supply constraints and owns the overall supplier relationship. Monitor and maintain costing files with Accounting, as well as hold vendors to market accountabilities in costing programs. Actively initiate cost reduction programs and work with suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Materials functions for successful implementation. Request and review quotations for new and existing components. Consult with Engineering and Supplier Quality regarding specification deviations. Recommend alternative materials or methods based on knowledge of market availability. Provide management with recommendations for future sourcing strategies and supplier base consolidation. Work with Supplier Quality to evaluate material rejections and effectively resolve disputes between departments and suppliers. Use sound decision making principles in conducting business which affects price variance, inventory levels, and quality levels. Write, analyze, and issue various weekly, monthly, and annual reports and status updates. Monitor and ensure on time delivery targets are met. Lead resolution for reoccurring delivery issues and support escalations. Follow-up and resolve late delivery issues; ensure proper handling and delivery of rush orders. Establish and maintain supplier stocking programs. Maintain standard cost files. Review all Engineering Notifications and drawings covering areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned i.e. meetings, team assignments, etc. RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS Supervisory Relationships: Reports to the Sr. Purchasing Manager – PS NA Organization Relationships: Expected to maintain relationships and have frequent contact with cross functional teams such as: engineering, quality, planning, production, warehouse, legal, accounting, finance, accounts payable. At times, will be expected to present to leadership at various levels across the organization regarding sourcing activities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Supply Chain, Business or Engineering Program or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with successful completion of the CPM certification is required. At least 8 years of purchasing experience required. Manufacturing and electronics background a plus. The Salary range for this position is $88,000.00-$111,150.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
