Description

AIVAF LIMITED IS THE UK’S LEADING DESIGN AND BUILD INTERACTIVE AND PROPS/MODEL MAKING EXHIBITION COMPANY

  • Electronics Engineer Wanted: Creative mind, eager to build, ideas in motion *
We’re not just looking for someone who can follow a schematic, we want someone who gets excited by hands-on electronics, creative challenges and solving problems no one’s solved before.
We’re aivaf, the UKs Leading Design & Fabrication Specialists in Interactives, Props and Model Making for Exhibitions. We create bespoke tech-heavy, experience-driven installations that merge hardware, interactivity, creativity and good old-fashioned problem solving.
Now we’re looking for an Electronics Engineer who can bring hands-on skill and a sharp mind to our growing team, ideally with a solid background in microcontroller software development in C or a similar high-level language.

WHAT YOU BRING

You might be a seasoned engineer or a hands-on tinkerer with a brilliant portfolio. Whether you have a degree, a workshop in your garage or just a talent for getting electronics working, if you can prove you’re capable, we’re listening.
This isn’t an entry-level role; we’re looking for capable individuals who can hit the ground running

Responsibilities

This is practical engineering for creative spaces that is hands-on, problem-solving and always evolving. You will be:

  • Designing and laying out PCBs for real-world interactive systems
  • Performing fast, precise and tidy SMD and THT soldering.
  • Writing and tweaking code for microcontrollers (Arduino-level stuff and beyond)
  • Digging into faults when things don’t work, because they won’t always work first time
  • Building and testing electronic assemblies that end up in museums, theme parks, attractions and tech-driven spaces
  • Documenting your work clearly and consistently so others can understand, support or build on it
  • Occasionally working off-site (in the UK or overseas), seeing your work come to life in real spaces

We’re project-based, fast-moving and hands-on. Every day’s different. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility and supported to do your best work.
