Description Flytrex is revolutionizing on-demand delivery in the US suburbs, using drones to deliver food and retail directly to customers’ back yards. Together with partners such as Uber & DoorDash, we’re turning science fiction into reality. We are looking for a reliability-minded Electronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in center Tel Aviv. In this position you will: start from derivation of design requirements from the systems level and product architecture. develop electronic module designs from inception to production (EVT, DVT and PVT) in multiple general areas: -- battery management. -- motor control. -- flight control. -- sensors. -- embedded Linux. -- ATE jigs and other support equipment. take ownership of electronic designs. be the technical liaison with contract manufacturers. ensure continuity of production, adjusting the design as required to keep form, fit and function. design and develop testing & checkout coverage, strategy and procedures for production. implement, track & document corrective and design changes. support bring-up & debug of modules, and perform root cause analysis on anomalies. Requirements A BSc/MSc in EE or adjacent field (or convince us why you don’t need it). Hands-on practical experience for at least five years in the following areas of modern electronics design: -- system-level requirements, concept, analysis and parts selection. -- general modern digital circuit design. “building blocks”: microcontrollers, memory, power supplies, peripheral sensors, protection circuits. board-level (SPI, I2C, UART, SDIO…) and system-level (CAN, USB, Ethernet) interfaces. integration of RF parts, impedance matching networks. power control circuits. -- BOM diversification & supply chain de-risking. -- layout complexity estimation. -- PCB stackup selection. -- setup and verification of PCB design rules. -- “High-speed”and “RF” layout, grounding, EMI and EMC concepts and applications. -- PCB & PCBA engineering drawings. -- ensuring consistency of released design data. -- module manufacturing support and oversight. -- supporting compliance to national regulation by first-party and third-party testing. -- general ownership of electronic designs. Application of quality management in electronics manufacturing. -- DFT (ICT, FCT, EOL) principles. -- Quality KPIs: yield goals, risk reduction, probabilistic approach, throughput, samples, audits. Proficiency with Altium Designer. Proficiency with electronic lab tools. Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Advantages Experience in designing ATE jigs and equipment. Practical application of SI analysis: what, when and how to SI, pre-, post-layout and in engineering samples. Applied C/C++/Python programming. Battery management systems and chargers. Familiarity with control cabinet / system-level wiring / cable & harness design. Ability to read modern mechanical engineering drawings, understanding of GD&T.
Responsibilities
The Electronics Engineer will derive design requirements from the systems level and develop electronic module designs from inception to production. They will take ownership of electronic designs and ensure continuity of production while supporting testing and debugging processes.
