Description
Introduction We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering student to join our Electronics & Software team, contributing to exciting healthcare projects. When you join us, you will work on cutting-edge products, develop your electronics design skills, and see firsthand how technology can improve people’s health and well-being. You will be surrounded by passionate experts who will support and mentor you, helping you grow into a world-class engineer of tomorrow. Successful candidates can join us between May-September 2026. There is no deadline for this role, as we recruit on a rolling basis. Once the position is filled, we will close the advert. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Overview From day one, you’ll be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary medical development team, tackling real technical challenges while receiving guidance and training from experienced engineers. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of applications, from tiny, wirelessly powered medical implants to large-scale diagnostic equipment. You might find yourself working with analogue circuits, digital systems, FPGAs, antennas, signal processing, and much more. What you'll be doing During your internship, you will likely: Design and support electronics for multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating with engineers across all development stages. Create and implement your own printed circuit boards using Altium. Build experience using and automating precision test and measurement equipment. Contribute to innovation in workshops and technical reviews. Analyse experimental data and develop conclusions to shape project outcomes. Learn and apply modern soldering techniques. Document your work through technical analyses, test plans, and reports. Present your technical findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Balance your time effectively across multiple project commitments. Gain invaluable insight from the talented professionals around you. What You Can Bring We’re looking for applicants who: Are currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or Physics. Are eligible to undertake a 12-month industrial placement as part of their course. Demonstrate curiosity, a passion for learning, and a drive to see the bigger picture. Have hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment and soldering tools. Have a solid understanding of electronics fundamentals. Have exposure to software development. Please ensure you've included your A Level/Equivalent subjects and grades within your CV, alongside relevant university modules. Covering statements are advantageous though by no means a necessity.
