Description

We are an independent, privately owned consultancy established in 1996, delivering world-leading Internet of Things based solutions to solve complex industrial challenges. We design and manufacture our own range of wireless telemetry and data acquisition systems, for recovering in-service load information from the most demanding of industrial environments.
Our products and services are delivered to customers and partners around the world, including blue-chip renewable energy, mining, marine, defence, automotive and rail companies. Our team of engineers are trained to provide rapid and professional on-site assistance, possessing outstanding capabilities and expertise for a large range of industrial drive systems.
We are looking to hire an electronics/instrumentation technician, to provide support through soldering and assembly, preparing materials based on BoMs, sorting and storing, testing and finishing products to a very high standard, and contributing to our general output.
A significant part of your role will be precision soldering of instrumentation wires, surface-mount components, etc, to miniature-sized PCBs. The reliability and quality of our systems is of paramount importance to us, and another part of your role will be to conduct exhaustive, systematic testing following our standard operating procedures, and producing in-depth test reports.
Our customers are based around the globe, and where necessary, there would be occasional travel to support on-site installations.
You will be passionate and strive to be hard-working, with a great intuition for real-world problem-solving.
You will adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures and instructions and take part in discussion with the rest of the team to improve safety standards.
A good eye for details is essential. A college certificate or vocational qualification in a relevant subject area would be an added benefit.
Work may be required to be conducted at 2 separate locations, both in Cramlington, so being able to drive would be advantageous.
