JOB SUMMARY: Oversee operations of Electronic Shop   REPORTS TO: Electronics Manager      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This job description is not intended, nor should it be construed, to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, skills or working conditions associated with the job.  It is intended to be a general description of the essential duties and requirements common to positions of this type and may be subject to change.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Supervises and participates in system design, plan, layout and construct new or modified electronic systems 2. Performs frequency and audio level tests on  radio  equipment,  troubleshoots  problem areas and develops problem solutions 3. Operates a variety of electronic test equipment including signal analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal and tone generators and other testing equipment to  isolate malfunctions 4. Supervises subordinates and/or other associated contracted personnel and provides direction for a variety of jobs related to communications systems and other electronic equipment. 5. Perform a variety of tasks necessary to insure 24/7 operations of the communications generators and UPS systems. Locate, diagnose, and correct malfunctions occurring in radio base stations, repeaters, etc. 6. Establish, document, and maintain appropriate preventative maintenance programs for radio communications, generators and UPS systems. Manage equipment replacement schedule and assist in budgeting for equipment replacement. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or related field.   INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms. 2. Achieve accomplishment of all task details, no matter how small. 3. Maintain good personal motivation; develop a sense of ownership of job tasks and results. 4. Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed. 5. Ability to work under the pressure of meeting strict deadlines. 6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
