Description
SAIC is looking for a Electronics Technician Maintenance III with Naval asset experience. This positions is located at SAIC Eastgate in Bedford, IN. The candidate will be asked to travel between SAIC Eastgate and NSWC Crane often. Job duties include but are not limited to: The management of individualized sub-assemblies which include large cabinet type structures, power supplies, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards, cabling and assorted materials. The candidate will be responsible for depopulation of these items and tasked with coordinating with other team members to ensure proper storage, transportation and auditing of this inventory. In addition to these efforts there will be large amounts of items which are planned to be decommissioned from ships and the candidate will be asked to integrate those into the storage facility. The candidate will be asked to travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane often. The candidate will be responsible for providing support to document the disassembly process and support procedural development and will assist with Bill of Materials Development as needed. SWMS will be utilized to track inventory and to produce inventory reports for the purposes of updating the customer. Requirements: High School Diploma and 4 or more years of experience working in electronics; OR Associate's Degree and electronics training. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start. Must be a U.S. citizen. Familiar with Military packaging, handling and marking of assets for shipment and storage. Possess technical capabilities to disassemble PCBs, power supplies and other electronic equipment from cabinets and ship equipment. Familiar with the handling of PCBs and able to abide by all Electronic Discharge processes and procedures. Excellent writing and speaking skills. Possess the ability to work alone without supervision. Must have a valid driver's license. Desired: Forklift experience. Naval ship technician-related experience.
Responsibilities
The candidate will manage individualized sub-assemblies and coordinate with team members for proper storage and transportation of inventory. They will also document the disassembly process and assist with procedural development.
