Responsibilities

AS AN ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Performing electronic assembly of circuit boards, wiring harnesses, connectors, chassis wiring assemblies.
  • Fault-finding to component level on PCB’s using related equipment, e.g. Oscilloscope and DVM
  • Reading, understanding & interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams from 5VDC up to 1000VAC
  • Conducting soldering of electronic components and assembly of electrical sub-systems.
  • Working to established quality standards such as ISO/QS9000
  • Testing of equipment including Electrical safety checks e.g. Megger & flash testing
  • Being proactive in ensuring that health and safety is first priority for employees, suppliers and customers

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have either a HNC/D in electronics or electrical engineering, or have completed and Electronics engineering based apprenticeship
  • Have experience of soldering electronic components – IPC-610 would be helpful, but not essential.
  • Have some experience in reading and interpreting Electronic Circuit Diagrams and have basic circuit theory knowledge
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team player
  • Show a basic understanding of IT such as MS Office and a desire to learn new softwar
