Description

ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

NLT designs, manufactures, deploys, and supports cap lamp systems and computer network technologies that are changing the way mines and tunnels communicate, collaborate, and operate.
This is an opportunity to use your detail oriented electronics skills to participate in the development and testing of our innovative cap lamp and computer network products.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Altium
  • Strong foundation in electronics circuits.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, bill of materials and SMD components.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment including multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope, and function generator.
  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Experience building electromechanical assemblies.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Visio.
  • Must have very good written and oral communication skills.
    Minimum 2 Years in a Technician, Technologist or Engineering program in Electronics or Electromechanical field.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $17.89-$37.74 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain current schematics and BOMs in Altium
  • Liaise with production in the transition of design to manufacturing process
  • Troubleshoot electronics issues that arise during development and production
  • Coordinate build of prototypes, with hands-on involvement.
  • Testing NLT cap lamps and network products
  • Write test reports summarizing results of tests.
  • Research components and technologies and find cost effective suppliers.
  • Assist engineering with documentation and various support duties.
  • Write work instructions and ensure they are accurate and well maintained.
  • Maintain lab environment and order parts for engineering tests.
