Description

The Electronics Technician and/or Technologist contributes to quality assurance processes and is responsible for the testing and troubleshooting of circuit boards and other electronic devices for OES Inc.

SUMMARY OF MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Testing
o Test and troubleshoot circuit boards, devices, wire harnesses and/or cables.
o Inspect and test components and assemble using multi-meters, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, logic probes, and other electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment.
o Diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults.
o Assemble final product for a wide range of OES products.
o Read and interpret production documentation (drawings, work instructions, blueprints) and provide reports as necessary.
o Work with SMT, THT, reflow and wave soldering machines.
o Use hand tools for soldering, crimping and hardware installation.
o Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.
· Support team and organizational goals:
o Attend and participate in daily huddle, Production and Staff meetings as required.
o Participate in Internal and External Audit as part of OES Quality Management Systems.
o Follow all safety and quality procedures and contribute to the maintenance of a safe production environment.
· Provide back-up support to other Production roles as required.
· Responsible and authorized to Release the Product for shipment after required inspection based on job traveler.
· Other related duties as assigned and communicated by the Production Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Strong knowledge of Electronics.
  • Ability to use hand tools for soldering, crimping and hardware installation.
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to read production documentation and instructions.
  • Ability to read schematics for the purpose of troubleshooting circuit boards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and other departments, in multiple formats, including team meetings.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and JobBoss.
  • Knowledge of OES Quality Management Systems, ISO 9000, and other SOP’s.
