DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT

Elementary Counsellor - Full time, continuing. Start date to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant though an immediate start date is preferred. Schedule to be determined in consultation with school administration.
The Elementary Counsellor will support students with Cariboo-Chilcotin School District.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Training and experience teaching at the elementary level
• A minimum of three years successful teaching experience
• Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field from an institution recognized by the Teacher Regulation Branch, with training in school counselling theory and techniques.
• A professional teaching certificate and be a full member of the British Columbia Teachers’ Federation and Teacher Regulation Branch.
• Applicant must possess a valid BC Driver’s License and have a vehicle available
• Proven ability to work independently
• Demonstrated knowledge of district and community resources
