You’ll deliver comprehensive services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and behavioral challenges, while potentially contributing to autism program development for self-contained classrooms.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Hours: 32.5 hours/week during school day
• Location: Up to two elementary school buildings (on-site)
• Duration: 10-month engagement (September-June)
• Structure: Professional consulting arrangement where you’re the trusted behavioral expert
• Caseload: Manageable number of classrooms and responsibilities
• Autonomy: Complete freedom in your clinical approach and methods

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current BCBA certification in good standing
• Master’s Degree in related field
• Minimum 1 year of school-based behavioral services experience
• Strong collaboration skills for working across educational teams
• Excellent communication and reliability
• Expertise in behavioral principles and educational applications
• Professional liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage

• Providing comprehensive behavioral support and conducting skill assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to unlock each student’s potential
• Developing personalized behavior intervention plans that create positive change
• Contributing to autism program development and enhancement for self-contained classrooms
• Mentoring and training teachers and paraprofessionals through hands-on support and targeted professional development
• Supporting implementation of ABA strategies and data collection systems
• Using data-driven insights to track student progress and adjust interventions
• Collaborating in team meetings to enhance student well-being and educational success
• Providing specialized behavioral support for students with challenging behaviors and coaching staff who work with them
