PURPOSE OF POSITION
Ochapowace Nation is looking for two full-time Elementary teachers to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year. The incumbents will work closely with the principal to promote a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
· Will be responsible for providing an educational setting where students will be able to achieve their intellectual, psychological, physical and emotional growth.
· Can adapt and support student learning
· Can successfully infuse and highlight Indigenous values and ways of knowing into all areas of the curriculum
· Will work with the community to integrate knowledge and skills
· Can adapt to online learning if required and is adept at engaging learning strategies
· Report regularly on developing, cooperating and coordinating student activities
· Daily record keeping or daily plans
· Other duties may be assigned by the Principal and Director of Education
