Job Description
SGS is currently looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector in Port Colbourne, Ontario to start immediately. The inspector would be working full time hours - 50 weeks a year, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday – 8 to 10 hours a day) and every other Saturday. Contract length would be ~18 months.
Scope of work:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification would be preferable
  • Minimum of five (5) years industrial experience in Electro-Mechanical inspections. Experience in EV Battery inspection is preferable and advantageous
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the battery inspections, Motor testing, familiar with CSA/CUL regulations, familiar with Megger & Hi-pot tests.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using several types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Pay range is $40 to $45/hour depending on experience + 0.70/KM.
