Description About the Role Greenleaf Grain is looking for a dependable, hard-working Elevator Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our grain handling operation: running equipment, managing grain quality, supporting facility maintenance, and pitching in wherever it counts, especially during the busy harvest season. If you like working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right, this could be a great fit. What You'll Do Grain Handling & Storage • Assist with operation of our grain storage systems, including corn piles, wheat piles, and steel corn bins • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently • Monitor grain conditions including moisture, temperature, and overall quality • Support grain movement, blending, grinding, and cracking operations for feed production Equipment Operation • Operate heavy equipment including a CAT 938 Loader and skid steer • Assist with grain pile management including packing, shaping, and maintenance • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Facility Maintenance • Keep the facility clean, organized, and running smoothly • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of grain handling equipment • Identify and communicate equipment or facility issues to leadership Harvest Support • Assist with receiving grain during harvest and managing truck traffic and grain intake • Be available for extended hours and increased demands during peak harvest periods Safety & Compliance • Follow all company safety procedures and protocols • Stay aware of operational hazards and participate in safety meetings and required training Requirements What We’re Looking For • Experience operating heavy equipment (preferred) • Background in grain handling, agriculture, or feed operations (preferred) • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Strong work ethic and a team-first attitude • Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed Work Environment This is an outdoor, physical role in a working grain facility.
