An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Sydney Campus for industry experienced and passionate ELICOS Teachers to join our exceptional team of supportive professionals.
Albright is seeking energetic, motivated, confident and outgoing ELICOS teachers, as a relief teacher, with experience in providing high quality, compliant and engaging General English morning or evening classes at our Sydney Campus.
Position Description:
Develops learning materials, assessment tasks and teaching programs as required
Maintains a tracking system of all student assessments. Follows up students who fail to submit assessment and escalates to the ELICOS Academic Manager where appropriate.
Ensures the highest standard of education and training is evidenced in the classroom through completed student satisfaction surveys
Participates in Institute activities promoting excellence in training and delivery within the classroom
Participates in and contributes to reviews of materials through moderation
Participates in creating new materials
Investigates and undertakes relevant professional development training to expand professional and personal skills; and share key learning to the benefit the Institute.
Conducting all teaching, delivering assessment and maintaining records in accordance with the:

The National Code 2018
Assessment Policy
Institute Code of Practice
Access and equity principles
Albright Institute policies and procedures
Maintains professional knowledge and skills in the area of TESOL or relevant teaching subject
Assists with maintaining compliance with NEAS, the ESOS Act 2000, National ELICOS Standards and National Code 2018
The role requires the following skills:

The role requires the following knowledge:
Sound knowledge of English programs, the ESOS Act 2000, the National ELICOS Standards and the National Code 2018 and NEAS Australia requirements
Good organizational and administration skills, with attention to detail and an ability to work to strict time lines.
The role requires the following experience:
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in design, delivery and assessment of English education programs
Knowledge of NEAS requirements for the registration and delivery of English programs
Previous experience in management and administration is highly desirable
Qualifications Required:
A degree plus CELTA
or
A teaching qualification with TESOL method includes a Graduate Diploma in Education with TESOL.
or
A degree in education or teaching with TESOL method includes a Bachelor of Education with TESOL method.
