Eligibility Coordinator Salary: $37,500.00+ DOE Locations: Daytona Beach, Fl. Exempt/Non-Exempt: Hourly Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full Time Department: Finance/Rev Max   SUMMARY: To provide services in the areas of Medicaid application, eligibility determination, data input, and payment vouchering   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Obtains and maintains appropriate case documentation for determining eligibility of children and for maintaining compliance. * Maintains open communication with Protective Investigators and Case Managers responsible for supervising cases of children in care, obtaining information in order to determine eligibility. * Completes Medicaid applications for children in out-of-home paid placements and works with Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) Child in Care (CIC) Specialists to obtain Medicaid eligibility. * Completes Medicaid applications for relative and non-relative placements. * Enters demographic, placement and payment data into the Integrated Child Welfare Services Information Systems (ICWSIS) for foster care, group care, and adoptions. * Enters placement and demographic data into Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) for all children. * Enters eligibility data into ICWSIS and FSFN. * Communicates to ESS/CIC all placement change information. * Works with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate payments. * Provides necessary documents to ESS for required annual Medicaid reviews for all children in out-of-home paid placements, relative and non-relative placements, and adoptive children. * Completes required annual TANF redeterminations for children in out of home paid placements and adoptive children. * Attends staff meetings, in-service training and other meetings, staffings, or conferences as necessary. * Provides technical assistance on the completion of all eligibility forms. * Participates in the quality improvement process.                                                                                                                                      * This list of essential functions is not intended to be exhaustive. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Employee will work in an office/clerical environment.  The employee will work predominantly seated with recurrent need to walk, stand, and bend from the waist.
