Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:15 PM - 11:30 PMFri03:15 PM - 11:30 PMSat03:15 PM - 11:30 PMSun03:15 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and merchandise zones to help support loss prevention efforts and report suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or unauthorized access. Assist with de-escalation, access control, and customer interaction while maintaining a visible presence that may help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and/or other security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card for Texas only. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
