WHAT YOU BRING – SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Proven supervisory or lead experience within an electrical panel workshop or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of control panel wiring, testing, assembly processes, and relevant standards (e.g. BS EN 61439, BS7671, IEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Commitment to maintaining strict health and safety compliance on the shop floor.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a track record of managing changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate and develop a diverse workshop team.
  • Detail-oriented approach and commitment to quality at all stages of production.
  • Proactive attitude to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS – ELECTRICAL WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

  • Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) – desirable.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing – desirable.
  • Previous panel build, electrical installation, or manufacturing experience required.
  • Supervisory training or management qualification.

ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Eltek Systems, a leading industrial automation provider, is seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead our panel workshop operations. As an essential part of our team, you will supervise the assembly, wiring, quality control, and testing of electrical control panels, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest safety and technical standards, with the health, safety and wellbeing of those with in the workshop being your primary responsibility.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES – ELECTRICAL PANEL BUILD AND WORKSHOP LEADERSHIP

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day workshop activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of electrical panel builds.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the panel wiring team.
  • Allocate resources and schedule work, adapting to project requirements and customer priorities.
  • Perform technical checks and quality inspections at each stage of panel assembly and wiring.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate delivery of customer solutions.
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance in all workshop activities.
  • Liaise closely with hardware manager, project managers, hardware and software design engineers, and procurement team to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, productivity, and product quality within the workshop.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Ensuring workshop equipment and tooling is maintained to a high standard.
