  • 1–3 years of hands-on email marketing experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar platforms).
  • Strong copywriting skills with a Gen-Z tone; able to write subject lines that convert.
  • Basic design/visual editing skills for templates (Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Analytical mindset: comfortable interpreting KPIs, running tests, and adjusting strategy.
  • Understanding of anime culture, memes, and social trends that appeal to Gen-Z.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous DTC/e-commerce experience a strong plus.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Part-Time Email Marketing Specialist to join our team remotely. You’ll be responsible for executing and optimizing our email marketing campaigns to drive sales, boost retention, and keep our community engaged. This is a hands-on execution role with the opportunity to advise other teams on growth strategies, while focusing primarily on the email channel itself.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute weekly email campaigns that are visually on-brand and resonate with anime & Gen-Z audiences.
  • Build and maintain automated flows (welcome, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, loyalty).
  • Develop and refine audience segments to improve personalization and engagement.
  • Run structured A/B tests (subject lines, send times, creative) to continually optimize results.
  • Monitor and report weekly on campaign performance, revenue attribution, and list health.
  • Ensure email content feels authentic to anime/Gen-Z culture — playful, fun, and community-driven.
  • Provide advisory recommendations to Paid, Social, and Community teams on list growth opportunities (e.g., referral programs, lead magnets), but execution will be handled by those teams.
