Purpose:
This role is a hugely important role as part of an exciting dynamic marketing team at Crunch, working with the Marketing team and key stakeholders to drive and deliver successful marketing and operational nurture campaigns that generate leads and sales as well as provide important communications to Crunch customers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to deliver our email marketing campaign strategy, focussing on segmentation, template design and personalisation to reach new and existing customers.
  • Optimise the usage of Marketing Cloud’s functionality as a new email marketing system for Crunch, to utilise its full potential and capabilities and refine our email marketing processes.
  • Be the in-house champion and overall owner of our email marketing system and the smooth execution of our operational email marketing campaigns.
  • Shape the end to end process for our operational email campaigns, including scoping out involvement of key stakeholders in each step of the process.
  • Help to upskill others at Crunch to ensure we have more team members able to use our email marketing system confidently, efficiently and accurately for key tasks as required.
  • Keep up to date on standards and principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2021/Data Protection Act 2018, and specifically the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) - applying this knowledge marketing campaign activities are being planned to minimise business risk.
  • Collect and use data and insights to inform new campaigns, optimise and evaluate existing campaigns, to ensure the appropriate audiences are selected and targeted to drive results and Return On Investment (ROI) of campaigns.
  • Review where appropriate all outgoing content and communications meets best practice, brand guidelines, stakeholder expectations and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Build relationships with all Crunch departments and in particular Sales, Operations, Client Services, Finance, Client Experience and Transformation & Product teams, who will provide assistance as agreed with email copy and sign off.
  • Anticipate any potential issues impacting on email scheduling and make time for proactive planning and prioritisation. Set realistic timescales for delivery and realign these if there are unforeseen changes.
  • Help to influence the ongoing improvements and enhancements to the Crunch website and other channels.
  • Working closely with our Data Lead, provide advice and discuss resource requirements for the completion of data projects to ensure legislative compliance. This includes enrichment and redaction projects to maintain a clean database and to segment our data effectively.
  • Support with the launch of new products and features, collate sufficient information to activate campaigns to maximise the potential for upsell and cross-sell campaigns.
  • Attend meetings with new and existing partners where input is required with email marketing and design or execution of campaigns.
  • Embrace the usage of the Hibob system, which is being used by Crunch to complete regular 121 and review conversations, and for setting and tracking company and department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Role Specific Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Advanced proficiency in using a recognised email building system and owning Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system email campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) usage in CRM systems.
  • Proven experience of working in operational marketing specialist roles.
  • Excellent copywriting/ proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce, user journeys and customer experience (UX).
  • Proven ability to build enduring relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies and other third parties covering all aspects of Marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience of data analysis using the latest techniques and systems, and an advanced user of software packages such as Microsoft and/or Google applications.
  • Have a growth mindset and be always thinking how we can improve how we communicate with our prospects and customers to delight and support them as we build trusting relationships.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of using the Marketing Cloud email marketing system in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of working in a Software as a Service (SaaS) business.

  • Degree-level qualification and/or professional qualifications in a Marketing related discipline.
