JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a creative and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist with 3–5 years of experience, ideally in e-commerce and with strong Klaviyo expertise, to join the John Malecki team. This role is remote and can be structured as part-time or on a retainer basis.
If you have a passion for building community through email, enjoy digging into performance data, and know how to balance creativity with conversions, this role is for you. You will take the lead on email and SMS strategy across our e-commerce brands, including Shop Shades and John Malecki Builds, crafting campaigns that connect with our crew and drive sales.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of email marketing experience, preferably in e-commerce or lifestyle brands
  • Deep knowledge of Klaviyo and a track record of success with automations and campaigns
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce metrics and sales attribution
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organizational skills
  • Creative and resourceful; a self-starter who can bring ideas to the table and run with them
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR) and best practices
  • A love for storytelling and connecting with an audience in a way that feels authentic and community-driven

  • Strategize and Execute - Build and maintain segmented email and SMS strategies tailored to our audiences.
  • Campaign Development - Concept, design, write, and deploy emails that are visually strong, on-brand, and optimized to convert.
  • Automation and Flows - Manage and optimize Klaviyo flows including welcome, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, and winback.
  • List Growth and Segmentation - Grow and manage email and SMS lists, ensuring proper segmentation, compliance, and personalization.
  • Strategize and Execute - Build and maintain segmented email and SMS strategies tailored to our audiences.
  • Campaign Development - Concept, design, write, and deploy emails that are visually strong, on-brand, and optimized to convert.
  • Automation and Flows - Manage and optimize Klaviyo flows including welcome, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, and winback.
  • List Growth and Segmentation - Grow and manage email and SMS lists, ensuring proper segmentation, compliance, and personalization.
  • Creative Collaboration - Partner with the content, design, and product teams to align messaging and creative across campaigns.
  • Performance Reporting - Track KPIs, report on campaign performance, and surface insights that can improve results.
  • Content Creation - Write clear and engaging copy for email, SMS, and supporting brand channels.
  • Optimization and Testing - A/B test subject lines, copy, visuals, send times, and flows to continuously drive performance.
  • Innovation - Bring fresh campaign ideas and stay ahead of trends to keep our email marketing sharp and effective.
