You will lead crisis preparedness and response efforts across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. You will design and deliver Crisis Management Training Programs across the region (both in-person and virtual) for Crisis Response Teams (CRTs), acting as a trusted advisor and crisis response lead within the client’s organization. In this role, you will help protect people, assets, and operations during critical events by leading the development of region-specific crisis response plans tailored to high-risk geographies and culturally nuanced operations. You will also lead on-the-ground and remote responses to natural disasters, infrastructure failures, civil unrest, and other emergent threats. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders from security, business continuity, communications, and executive leadership, ensuring a high level of preparedness and resilience tailored to the fast-paced, innovative environment of a global tech enterprise. This is an on-site role based in the client’s Singapore office, though there is flexibility for some remote work based on workload and priorities, the RCM team also operates a weekend “on-call” rotation, meaning occasional weekend work with time off in lieu. The position also involves domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time. Responsibilities Prepare Create and test drills, simulation exercises, and playbooks specific to APAC risks. Develop high-quality materials to support regional crisis training and organizational readiness. Conduct regular CRT capability reviews and post incident assessments to drive continuous improvement. Coordinate Partner with key business units and site leads to embed crisis readiness into business operations. Build robust partnerships with public security authorities, emergency services, law enforcement, and multinational security councils. Engage local leadership across APAC markets to ensure alignment with national contingency regulations. Monitor regional threats and disruptions to proactively adjust preparedness and mitigation strategies. Respond Serve as the primary crisis coordinator for regional and global escalations when incidents impact APAC operations. Deliver clear and timely updates to senior executives and stakeholders, distilling complex information into actionable recommendations. Facilitate effective coordination among cross-functional CRTs, government contacts, and vendor partners. Communicate directly with employees during events, ensuring messages are localized, empathetic, and responsive to conditions. Conduct comprehensive post-crisis reviews, track lessons learned and implement operational enhancements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Risk Management, Security Studies, International Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in crisis management, emergency response, or a related field within large-scale or multinational organizations. Extensive operational knowledge of APAC-specific security risks and natural disasters (e.g., typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, flooding, extreme heat). Deep subject matter expertise in natural disaster forecasting, planning, and response, ranging from typhoons and tsunamis to seismic events and extreme weather. Proven ability to assess regional risk profiles and anticipate cascading effects across high-density urban areas, remote locations, and cross-border operations. Strong background in coordinating and maintaining relationships with government agencies, civil defense authorities, and private-sector security professionals across the region. Strong understanding of geopolitical, infrastructure, and environmental risks across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Demonstrated experience leading crisis response and business continuity across diverse APAC geographies. Familiarity with regional alerting systems, early-warning networks, and emergency coordination structures. Advanced communication skills — both written and verbal — with fluency in clear executive briefings and employee-facing messaging. Deep cultural competence across Asia-Pacific, proven operational leadership and ability to operate with diplomacy, tact, and local insight Excellent judgment in high-pressure environments and strong ethical standards. Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally, including rapid deployment if needed.
