Description

The Security Manager will be based full-time at the client site in Wales and, reporting to the Head of Operations, will have the following responsibilities;

  • Serve as the source of expertise and leader for all security and crisis management, liaising with relevant authorities, government agencies and senior personnel where required.
  • Implement the company’s security processes and procedures consistently, ensuring an effective degree of buy-in from the organisation.
  • Ensure contingency plans, procedures and policies are up-to-date and are business and market appropriate.
  • Identify and monitor emerging and developing threats for the client, establish, implement and communicate mitigations.
  • Ensure risk assessments, reviews and audits are conducted consistently and according to internal methodology and overall risk-based approach.
  • Conduct site security audits and design appropriate security protocols for projects and service sites.
  • Continuously review and revise existing procedures, policies and security infrastructure for the client in line with the company’s business requirements.
  • Deliver regular security awareness briefings to staff in order to support operations.
  • Conduct compliance and security investigations as required.
  • Ensure robust Business Continuity Plans in conjunction with Site Security Leaders and Business Stakeholders.
  • Respond to incidents or security events at the main site and in transit, providing immediate support and advice and liaising with relevant authorities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • This role must have a strong understanding of Security procedures, risk management methodologies, investigation, incident management, crisis & continuity management, operational security threat management, business/security intelligence and security tech.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills are required to support all levels of client leadership with reliable and meaningful information to enable fact-based business decisions
  • Strong leadership experience as well as extensive project management experience.
