Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Embedded/Electronics Engineer role based in Pfullingen. The Embedded/Electronics Engineer will design, develop, and test electronic circuits and embedded systems for products within PRETTL’s business divisions. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing circuit schematics, selecting electronic components, performing simulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as hardware, software, and manufacturing. The role involves setting up and executing test procedures, analyzing test results, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements. The engineer will also support documentation, contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, and assist in transitioning solutions from prototype to series production.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply these disciplines to product development.
• Knowledge in Circuit Design and practical Electronics, including schematic, PCB design collaboration, and component selection.
• Experience with Testing of electronic and embedded systems, including measurement techniques, debugging, and validation against specifications.
• Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a closely related technical field.
• Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers, basic firmware concepts, and common communication interfaces (e.g., CAN, SPI, I²C) is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical documentation, create clear design and test reports, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Structured, solution-oriented working style and willingness to take responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience in automotive or industrial electronics, and knowledge of applicable standards, is a plus.
