Job Description Location: Remote / Massachusetts-Based HQ (Preferred) Start Date: Q4-2025 Duration: 12 months (contract) Compensation: DARPA-funded stipend Reports To: CEO, MagLev Aero Works With: Founding team, technical leads, manufacturing partners, and DARPA EEI team Overview MagLev Aero is seeking an entrepreneurial, mission-driven leader to serve as our Embedded Entrepreneur as part of our participation in DARPA’s Embedded Entrepreneur Initiative (EEI). The EEI is inclusive of the DARPA Commercial Solutions Offering (CSO) program which provides a Senior Commercial Advisor (SCA) to conduct due diligence and advise MagLev Aero on a part-time, contract basis. The selected candidate will lead MagLev Aero’s commercial transition efforts—bridging technology, market entry, and scalable operations. The Embedded Entrepreneur will work closely with the Mag Lev Aero team, the DARPA CSO team, and the DARPA SCA. Responsibilities: Define and execute commercialization strategy for defense and commercial markets Identify and structure teaming agreements with OEMs, integrators, and partners Establish sales pipeline and customer engagement Support fundraising and proposal capture Execute EEI milestones in coordination with DARPA Qualifications 10+ years in aerospace, unmanned systems, or commercialization roles Defense or government experience preferred Prior experience in business development, capture management, customer engagement and new product development Extensive network within target Government agencies and/or Defense and commercial OEMs Demonstrated success identifying and securing $1M+ Government contract opportunities Strategic mindset, but able to execute quickly in a startup environment Investor engagement experience a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 20% domestic travel to conferences, industry days and customer/collaborator/partner sites U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
