Description

We’re looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer who’s excited to design, build, and optimize the code that drives our cutting-edge VI Chip power components. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work side by side with world-class analog engineers, developing control algorithms that push performance limits while meeting cost and manufacturing goals. If you enjoy solving tough technical challenges and seeing your work come to life in real products, this is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement embedded firmware architecture and code for next-generation VI Chip power products.
  • Collaborate with analog engineers to design and refine advanced control algorithms.
  • Troubleshoot real hardware issues using scope traces and other diagnostics, directly impacting product performance.
  • Define and improve processes, methods, and tools for control algorithm development across multiple product families.
  • Integrate product and manufacturing requirements into firmware designs, ensuring solutions are robust and scalable.
  • Evaluate and select microcontrollers to meet performance, cost, and efficiency targets.
  • Break down requirements into clear tasks, provide accurate estimates, and deliver on project milestones.
  • Mentor hardware engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen firmware contributions.
  • Apply best practices and formal methods to create clean, reusable, and reliable code modules.
  • Contribute to requirements, design specifications, unit testing, and validation activities that ensure product quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience with microcontrollers/microprocessors and hardware/software debugging.
  • Strong proficiency in C and Assembly; C++ and Python are a plus.
  • Skilled at analytical problem-solving, debugging, and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with power supply design/testing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Simulink, StateFlow, MS DevStudio, and ARM Cortex M0 is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
