Description:
JOB TITLE: SECURITY SYSTEM AND ENGINEERING SPECIALIST
The Security System and Engineering Specialist Consultant will be responsible for
installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various security systems to ensure the
safety and security of assets and sites. Also conduct regular security audits, assessments, and
tests to identify and resolve any security vulnerabilities or issues. Also, work closely with other
security experts to deliver the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including alarm systems, surveillance
cameras, access control systems, and fire detection systems.
2. Conduct regular inspections and testing of security systems to ensure proper functionality
and compliance with safety regulations.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems, including hardware
and software components.
4. Collaborate with other departments to integrate security systems with existing infrastructure
and ensure seamless operation.
5. Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of security systems to enhance
security awareness and response capabilities.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in security
systems to recommend improvements and enhancements.
7. Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to any security incidents
or breaches
8. Supervise all the maintenance activities preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance,
spare parts, etc.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to end users, system administrators, and service
support technicians on security-related issues and questions
10. Deliver all other objectives as deemed necessary by the Line manager
REQUIREMENTS
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related
field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a security system specialist, security analyst, security
engineer, or a similar role
- Hands-on experience with security systems and tools, such as CCTV, alarm panels, VMS,
intrusion detection and prevention systems, and remote access systems
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and applications, such as TCP/IP, DNS,
DHCP, Windows, Linux, etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and handle multiple tasks and projects
in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications in security systems or related fields are a plus such as Milestone,
Genetec, and Lenel.
