Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Cyber Developer deep expertise in secure boot, firmware security, and hardware trust concepts to support the development and testing of secure firmware solutions. This role involves working with PolarFire and SmartFusion2 devices, integrating Red Hat Linux, and interfacing with UEFI APIs for signing and configuration. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE EMBEDDED CYBER DEVELOPER INCLUDE:

  • Strong experience in C/C++ for embedded systems and firmware development.
  • Familiarity with UEFI, secure boot processes, and firmware signing.
  • Knowledge of encryption, hashing, and hardware trust concepts.
  • Experience with PolarFire and SmartFusion2 firmware services.
  • Understanding of fuse configuration and secure firmware update mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with DO-178C or similar safety-critical software standards.
  • Experience with Python and Bash scripting.
  • Prior work with Red Hat Linux in secure environments.
  • Background in defense or aerospace cybersecurity programs.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability hold an Active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain secure boot capabilities and firmware update processes.
  • Integrate Red Hat Linux into existing secure boot frameworks.
  • Interface with UEFI APIs for signing, configuration, and secure firmware deployment.
  • Implement and test firmware encryption, hashing algorithms, and hardware trust mechanisms.
  • Support PolarFire firmware services and ensure compatibility with SmartFusion2 family devices.
  • Perform fuse configuration and validation for secure firmware operations.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and systems engineering teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Maintain and evolve cyber systems and processes in alignment with DO-178C and other relevant safety standards.
