Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for extending and improving the Rivian and Volkswagen Group embedded infotainment platform (i.e., displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, media, app lifecycle, etc).
  • Contribute to the software design and code reviews while collaborating with other developers on technical issues, design choices and decision making.
  • Deploying and troubleshooting your solutions on a target vehicle or a hardware test bench.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver software solutions on time and with high level of quality.
  • Working skills with C, C++, and Java.
  • Experience with POSIX-based embedded systems; Preferred Linux and Android.
  • Familiarity with one or more technical areas such as displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, and Bluetooth.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comfortable working in an environment with sophisticated build systems and large code repositories.
  • Experience building solutions with Android Automotive OS
  • Understanding of AOSP or FreeRTOS architectures.
  • Preferred experience with low-level interfaces typical of embedded systems: such as I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, USB, PCIe, SDIO, UFS, MDIO.
