Job Description

Main objectives:

Develop and maintain embedded software for Captana’s intelligent battery-powered IoT camera systems used for automated shelf monitoring in retail environments. Ensure reliable device operation, efficient wireless connectivity, low power consumption, and seamless integration with cloud, edge, and computer vision platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and optimize embedded software and firmware for battery-powered IoT camera devices.
  • Design and implement software for microcontroller-based platforms and integrate camera sensors and peripheral devices via SPI, I²C and UART.
  • Develop and improve wireless communication solutions using WiFi and BLE.
  • Design, implement, test and validate new software modules from prototype stage through field deployment.
  • Support hardware bring-up activities, debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Optimize power consumption, reliability and communication stability.
  • Collaborate with hardware, cloud, computer vision and software teams in international projects.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Good knowledge of C/C++
  • Interest in Embedded Linux, RTOS, camera technologies and IoT systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international team
