EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER (LOW-LEVEL)

At the moment we are looking for experienced Embedded Software Engineer (low-level) to strengthen our Tampere. You would start your journey in one of our most interesting and challenging projects.
Join a team developing platform software for a complex multi-processor embedded system. Your job would be to work directly, in a hands-on manner, in the BSP development. Your main task would be to develop linux drivers, kernel configs, device trees, u-boot, other bootloaders, Yocto recipes, and other Xilinx specific low-level software. You need to be able to debug problems from the HW, SW, and systems perspectives. Additionally, with the other team members, your responsibility is to plan and develop the system further.

Our way of working is flexible too, many of our team work remotely from home with visits to our office from time to time when needed. This role is equally challenging, and as such we offer a very good compensation. We would hope that you are able to start as soon as possible but we are of course ready to be flexible also

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The software professional we are looking for should be comfortable with at least some of the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge and experience working on embedded linux systems (ARM)
• Comfortable working with low-level code (kernel, drivers, systems SW)
• Languages: C, bash, python
• Comfortable working with embedded HW developed in house
• Self motivated to push the other developers to do their part in assuring product quality.
• English as the working language

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools, particularly Jira
• Competent in scripting with bash and python
• Competent in developing MCU code
• Familiar with ARM based systems and/or FPGA based systems (Xilinx)
• Experience in HW/SW security
• Familiar with linux networking and/or rust programming language
• Some testing background.
