Description
Are you a recent engineering graduate or early-career developer looking to work on meaningful, real-world systems? SAIC is seeking an Entry-Level Embedded Software Engineer to join our team supporting hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing for military defense systems at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. You’ll gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, automated testing, and LabVIEW development—all while working alongside experienced engineers who are ready to mentor and support your growth. What you will do Help maintain and support existing HIL test systems used for validating military software and hardware. Assist in diagnosing system issues and implementing improvements to stability, maintainability, and efficiency. Contribute to the development of new software and hardware tools to expand system capabilities. Collaborate with engineers to support automated test infrastructure, documentation, and troubleshooting processes. Participate in design and code reviews while developing your engineering skills and understanding of best practices. Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and zero (0) years' experience; Additional six (6) years' related experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle). Clearance Requirements: Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required. Required Skills: Exposure to LabVIEW (via coursework, projects, or internship) or a strong willingness to learn. Strong troubleshooting mindset and desire to understand system-level behavior. Organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate clearly in a team setting. Interest in exposure to a wide range of technical domains. Because our systems interact with many components—mechanical, electrical, and software—you’ll often dig into documentation, speak with other teams, and develop a working knowledge of subsystems beyond your immediate scope. Over time, you’ll naturally grow into a domain expert on the areas you touch.
