About the job you’re considering The Software Verification, Validation & Test Engineering Support (VTE) is responsible for performing verification and validation (V&V) activities on train functions, Train Control subsystems (TCMS, PACIS), and components (Software, Schematics & Apparatus) within the assigned project scope. The VTE ensures comprehensive test coverage, high-quality deliverables. Your role • Plan and execute verification and validation activities on train functions, subsystems, and components in scope. • Ensure complete coverage of Train Control requirements through testing. • Document and formalize deviations, anomalies, and Return on Experience (REX) for each test activity. • Apply standard V&V methodologies, processes, and tools consistently across all assigned functions and subsystems. • Coordinate with engineering teams (control, system, electrical, software) to ensure alignment between design and test activities. • Monitor quality of tests performed on the train and test benches, raising anomalies or change requests as required. • Support continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and contributing to process enhancements. Your skills and experience • Knowledge of software and system verification & validation principles in railway or embedded systems. • Fluent in English & French (spoken and written). • Experience with V&V processes, test planning, execution, and reporting. • Familiarity with Train Control Systems (TCMS, PACIS) and associated components (Software, S&A). • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. • 2–5 years of experience in software/system verification, validation, and testing, ideally in railway, automotive, or industrial embedded systems. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Structured, detail-oriented, and capable of working in multidisciplinary, matrix environments. • Customer-focused and proactive in problem-solving.
