JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a meticulous, skilled, and dedicated Embryologist to join our assisted reproductive technology (ART) team. The Embryologist will be responsible for handling gametes and embryos, performing in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assessing embryo quality, and ensuring the optimal laboratory environment for successful patient outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in reproductive biology, laboratory protocols, and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or higher in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Biotechnology, or a related life science field.
  • Years of hands-on experience in an IVF lab (entry-level, mid-level, or senior roles can be specified).
  • Training and proficiency in IVF/ICSI techniques and embryo culture.
  • Strong microscope skills and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of lab documentation systems and data integrity standards.

Responsibilities
  • Handle and process gametes (sperm and oocytes) in compliance with strict lab protocols.
  • Perform IVF procedures, including:
  • Oocyte identification and denudation
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
  • Sperm preparation and selection
  • Embryo culture, grading, and selection
  • Embryo freezing (vitrification) and thawing
  • Assisted hatching and embryo biopsy (if trained)
  • Maintain and monitor lab equipment, incubators, and cryopreservation tanks.
  • Accurately document all lab activities, patient records, and embryo development data.
  • Work closely with IVF specialists, nurses, and counselors to coordinate patient care.
  • Adhere to quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest techniques and technologies in embryology and ART.
  • Participate in lab audits, clinical meetings, and continuous education programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards (e.g., ICMR, HFEA, ASRM, etc.).
