Performs andevalautes a variety of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) procedures to obtainaccurate data for diagnosis and treatment of disease.

EDUCATION

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology isrequired.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Four (4) years of experience in Embryology at aspecialized medical laboratory with Master’s degree, or Six years of similarrequirement with Bachelor’s Degree is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS(CERTIFICATES)

CurrentRegistration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties(SCHS) is required.
Independently performed ? 50hands-on ICSI / embryo biopsy cases and demonstrates clear understanding of ARTtechniques.

1. Performs allprocedures in ART Laboratory including ICSI procedure. Performs analyses, tests,and procedures per established laboratory standards, maintaining qualitycontrol of the subsection. Participates in the Quality Assurance programs ofthe section.
2. Assists inthe evaluation of new methodologies/equipment. Assists in the revision of policyand procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines.
3. Orients,trains, provides continuing education and guides lower graded personnel, otherlaboratory and healthcare personnel, students, and residents. Implements andmaintains appropriate laboratory safety procedures and practices.
4. Assists indevelopment of new methodologies and the evaluation of new equipment. Updatespolicy and procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines.
5. Performstechnical duties as assigned including weekends, night-shifts, and on callcoverage.
6. Maintainsquality control of the subsection. Participates in the Quality Assuranceprograms of the section. Investigates incident reports and implementsassociated corrective action. Participates and contributes to qualityimprovement activities.
7. Comply with the sectionpolicies, procedures and protocols. follow the section quality improvementprogram in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, CAP, SFDA and other international accreditationagencies standards.
8. Participates in self andothers’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
9. Follows allHospital related policies and procedures.
10. Performs otherrelated duties as assigned.
