Description
The Network Analyst is responsible for deploying, monitoring and maintaining the networking environments, which encompass the communication of data, voice, text and images for customers. IT infrastructure monitoring and quick resolution for issues, In Enterprise Management Centers (EMC) Analyst role: Provide first, second and third level support remotely for connectivity outages and performance-affecting incidents; server outages, hardware events and process failures; and for firewall, PKI, virus block-unblock incidents. Test and monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed. Use network management software and other tools to collect performance statistics and create reports. Install new network equipment and software upgrades. Participate in implementing network security solutions. Understand and utilize the correct problem escalation procedures. Adhere to standards of confidentiality and security. Escalate problems, requirements and special issues as appropriate. Develop knowledge in networking, network security and servers, both physical and virtual. Use Schlumberger's network and server management tools to respond to events triggered by service levels agreed to by the customers. Arrange and coordinate hardware replacement for faulty devices.
