Job Description Role Description Leading EMC design of DC-DC converters, chargers, inverters for HEV / PHEV / BEV (400V and 800V bus). Design of filters for both high-voltage and low-voltage lines 6 years’ experience in power electronics design and development for automatic or industrial application, out of which min. 4 years’ experience in electromagnetic compatibility. Leadership & Project Management Responsibilities: Well-versed in Requirement management, Customer dialogues and collaborating with cross function teams Estimation of project timeline and driving towards timely deliveries Estimation of development cost and validation cost Conducting design reviews and driving root cause analysis (8D methodology) Contributing to innovations in EMC engineering Contributing in automizing and accelerating development cycles. Technical Expertise Strong foundation in filter design, RLC components, damped filter design. Comprehensive understanding of High-voltage power electronics (e.g., traction inverter, DC-DC converters, on-board chargers in electric vehicles) Topologies: PSFB, DAB, Active Clamp Flyback, Front-End Converter, Flyback, SEPIC Standards Knowledge: CISPR25, ECE R10, ISO 11452-2/4, IEC 61000-4/5, ISO 7637-2/3/4, ISO 10605 Proficiency in noise estimation, shield design, grounding concept design and parasitic extraction, spread spectrum techniques (FHSS) Demonstrated capability in Filter Design for high voltage power converters considering conducted & radiated emission + Immunity requirements Testing & Compliance: Surge, ISO pulse test, BCI, CE, RE, ESD tests integrated into design considerations Magnetics design: common mode and differential mode inductor design; expertise in ferrite and nanocrystalline materials PCB Design: best practices in power line routing, signal routing and routing of communications lines. Review layout from EMC front and provide guidance to layout team. Design considerations for SI and PI Broad level understanding of vehicle architecture – HV board net and LV board net.
