The EMEA Flow Rates business incorporate the following desks: EGBs, EUR Swaps, SSA, STIRT/XCCY, EUR Inflation, GBP and Repo. Role description: Trading / market making repo products Supporting the desk by improving, streamlining and automating processes including PnL Flash, specials returns, collateral imbalances etc. Efficient financing and covering of inventory positions (longs + shorts) Building pricing tools to help traders quote trades as well as identify optimisation opportunities Work with Sales to build and maintain relationships with Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Institutional Investors. Helping them to prepare marketing materials where needed. Driving risk approval and due diligence processes for new trades. Create bespoke risk reports as required by the business Work closely with wider business units including DCM In-depth knowledge of current and upcoming regulatory changes affecting the repo and wider market Assisting the traders by investigating and helping to resolve trade settlement queries Key objectives critical to success: Ability to identify and enhance any manual desk processes with a strong attention to detail Ability to independently generate ideas and spot optimisation opportunities Knowledge of different hedging techniques and interpreting risk reports Capable of creating close relationships with Sales, other trading desks and control functions, including providing market colour on repo levels and trends.
