Visit our website to read more about us. — As our EMEA People Partner, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the employee experience across our EMEA region, starting from our Lisbon hub. You’ll be the go-to People partner for employees and leaders alike — owning core People operations while actively driving culture, engagement, and community initiatives. This is a hands-on, self-sufficient role for someone who enjoys building, improving, and initiating People practices — not just maintaining them. You’ll combine operational excellence with a strong people-first mindset, helping Algomarketing continue to scale thoughtfully and sustainably across regions. — You’re a proactive People professional who enjoys ownership and autonomy. You’re comfortable operating independently, know how to balance people care with business needs, and aren’t afraid to initiate change where it adds value. You’ll thrive here if you’re: Experienced in a People / HR role, ideally supporting Portugal and at least one additional country within EMEA Confident owning onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle processes Passionate about culture, engagement, and building meaningful employee experiences Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment with minimal hand-holding Curious and open to using AI, automation, or new tools to improve People operations A clear, empathetic communicator, fluent in English (Portuguese is a strong plus) Key Responsibilities — Onboarding & employee lifecycle: Partner with leaders and the People team to deliver a seamless onboarding experience across EMEA — from contracts and system setup to first-day experiences and ongoing employee support. Contracts, payroll & compliance: Own People operations for Portugal and support other EMEA markets as needed, including contracts, payroll coordination, documentation, and compliance with local employment practices. Culture, engagement & community: Drive culture initiatives, rewards and recognition programs, and employee engagement activities. You’ll help shape a strong sense of belonging and community across regions, with a particular focus on building momentum in EMEA. People partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees — supporting performance conversations, engagement feedback, and day-to-day People topics with confidence and empathy. Initiative & innovation: Identify opportunities to improve People processes through automation, tooling, or AI-powered solutions. You’ll be encouraged to test, build, and lead initiatives that make People operations smarter and more scalable. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Leadership to support headcount planning, payroll alignment, reporting, and workforce insights.
Responsibilities
The EMEA People Partner will manage onboarding and employee lifecycle processes while ensuring compliance with local employment practices. They will also drive culture initiatives and act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
