SUMMARY

Seeking an ideal candidate that will be responsible for preparing for and responding to disasters by supporting mass care planning, providing training and mentorship, strengthening regional partnerships, and serving as a liaison between local and state agencies.

  • Support local departments of social services (LDSS) with mass care planning (sheltering, feeding, recovery).
  • Provide training, .mentorship, and real-time support during disasters and exercises.
  • Help communities identify gaps in resources, staffing, and planning—and connect them with solutions.
  • Strengthen regional partnerships with emergency managers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and the American Red Cross.
  • Serve as a liaison between local and state agencies to ensure local perspectives shape statewide planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of emergency management and mass care principles
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and build partnerships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned region
