Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Acute Care Director to provide organization, direction and assistance with CNA staffing for the med surg staff members. Works collaboratively with the Acute Care Director with managing the budget, personnel, materials and environment of care to ensure quality, cost effective services for the med surg unit and the Emergency Department. Organizes and coordinates hospital's Trauma Care Response. HOURS: Full-time, 80hrs per pay period, M-F QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a licensed Registered Nurse with a current Iowa license. Must have good computer skills. Minimum of three years clinical experience. Must have good supervisory skills. Knowledgeable of E.D. and trauma procedures. Must have trauma training (Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent) and shall maintain appropriate CEU's in trauma care in accordance with 641-137(147A) and shall maintain 16 hours of continuing trauma education every four years (can be met by completing TNCC every four years). PRIMARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions. Must be able to frequently lift over 50 pounds.
