Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting full-time and Locum Tenens, 1099 Emergency Physicians for service at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care 100% of the time in the ED Evaluate, treat, and manage a wide range of emergent conditions including: Trauma, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, OB/GYN, GI, endocrine, infectious, and musculoskeletal emergencies Perform minor and major procedures (e.g., suturing, intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion) Stabilize and transfer patients requiring higher levels of care Review inpatient admissions and consults Apply orthopedic devices and manage medications per VA policy Provide discharge education and coordinate follow-up care Initiate social work referrals for homeless or high-risk patients Attend staff meetings (monthly, if shift coincides) Participate in quality improvement activities Complete documentation in VA’s EHR system (CPRS) Ensure timely completion of progress notes and coding Report patient safety incidents within 24 hours Maintain compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy standards Qualifications Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred) or Board Certification or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine. Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory Current DEA license Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation (National Agency Check with Written Inquiries) No sponsorship available All candidates must be able to: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Push/pull with 30 lbs of force All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
