Full-Time: 36-hours per week Shift/Hours: Varies Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision 401k w/ employer match Short & Long-term disabilities Life & AD&D insurances Employee Assistance Program Pet Insurance and more… Position Summary: Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols to the patients admitted to the Emergency Department and throughout the facility as necessary Primary (Essential) Duties: Assesses, plans, and evaluates patient care needs Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs Carries out physician orders and clarifies, educates, and instructs patients and families of the orders as needed Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team Maintains skills and knowledge of various medical devices including, but not limited to, cardiac monitors, vital signs machines, defibrillators, IV pumps, rapid infusers, Bair Huggers, and patient gurneys Scion Health considers a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous, and professional attitude to be an essential function of every position. Certifications/Licenses: Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or equivalent compact Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association ACLS and PALS current or within 90 days of hire or transfer, or approved extension of an additional 90 days from the department director and CNO. NRP current or within 1 year of initial hire or transfer ENCP or TNCC completion within 1 year of initial hire or transfer Handle with Care training within first 30 days of employment Experience: 2+ years of Emergency Room experience preferred
